Some info for you:
I would suggest getting a bigger power supply than 500 watts.
I would also suggest getting an Intel processor rather than AMD. Go with
Intel Quad Core.
You made the right choice picking an Nvidia (they make GeForce) graphics card. Never settle for an ATI Raedon. Make sure ur motherboard has the appropriate port for ur card to plug into though. I would suggest getting an Nvidia motherboard as well.because it will have on-board Nvidia graphics (which alone, on-board graphics aren't as good as a board-external card) so that way it will add to ur Nvidia graphics card & will be able to work side by side for more graphics power & performance. ***Make sure ur computer tower case can accommodate ur motherboard. A Quad Core processor is like 4 processors compacted into 1. So you will be able to multitask with multiple programs on ur computer without any sign of CPU hogging & slowing down. Make sure ur mother board is compatible with the processor you choose. 4gb of ram will give you plenty of program cache.HOWEVER, THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT ---> You must get RAM that is compatible with ur motherboard!!! Go to newegg.com & go to their RAM section to find their info on how to check what RAM is compatible with ur mother board. As far as sound cards. 7.1 channels is great! I don't think brand really matters here. Something you did not mention, a cd/dvd drive. I would suggest, from my own personal use, a Sony Optiarc CD/DVD Burner drive. It would take too long to try & find alternatives myself, but I will tell you were to get the cheapest prices: newegg.com Sign up for their e-mail newsletter & you will get weekly special offer & HUGE discounts on popular random items!!! Seriously, hardly no other place to get name brand computer hardware this cheap or cheaper!
Very Nice! Use Surround Sound 7.1 setup and a dual monitor
setup. Now that is what I am talking about your ''Boom Boom Pow''!: )
